Overview on the recent di-photon excess at the LHC Run 2
January 8(Fri) - January 8(Fri), 2016
CTPU/IBS, Daejeon
The candidate for a new signature toward the physics beyond the Standard Model at the LHC
With 3.6 fb-1 (ATLAS) and 2.6 fb-1 (CMS) data of the LHC Run 2, experimental collaborations reported that there is an excess in the di-photon channel, at the level of local significance ~ 3 sigma (global significance ~ 2.0 sigma).
We would like to discuss on the details of this excess, possible BSM scenarios and its phenomenological impact.
Our main topics to be discussed are following,
- Overview on various possibilities
- Phenomenological implications
